1I looked up again. In front of me I saw a flying scroll. 2The angel asked, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a flying scroll. It is 30 feet long and 15 feet wide."a 3Then he told me, "This is the curse that is going out over the whole land. One side of the scroll says that every thief will be removed. The other side says that everyone who lies under oath will be removed. 4'I will send the curse out,' says the LORD of Hosts. 'It will go into the house of the thief. It will go into the house of anyone who makes a false promise using my name. It will stay in his house and destroy it, even its wood and stones.'" 5Then the angel who was talking with me came forward. He said to me, "Now look up and see what is coming." 6I asked, "What is it?" He answered, "It is a basket for measuring grain going out." Then he said, "This is their sin all over the land." 7Then the lead cover was lifted. And I saw a woman sitting inside the basket. 8He said, "This is Wickedness." Then he pushed her back down into the basket. He pushed the lead cover down over its opening. 9Then I looked up and saw two women coming. The wind was in their wings. They had wings like a stork's wings. They lifted up the basket between heaven and earth. 10I asked the angel who was talking with me, "Where are they taking the basket?" 11He told me, "They are going to build a house for it in the land of Shinar. When the house is ready, the basket will be set there on its stand."
