1Then I saw another great and amazing sign in heaven. There were seven angels with the seven last plagues. With these plagues, God's anger is finished. 2And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire. Standing beside the sea were those who had won over the beast and its image and the number of its name. They held harps given to them by God. 3They sang the song of God's servant Moses and the song of the Lamb:
"Great and amazing are your works,
Lord God Almighty!
Fair and true are your ways,
King of the nations!
4Lord, who will not fear you
and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been shown."
5After this I looked, and the temple in heaven was opened. It is the tabernacle of the Testimony. 6Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen. They wore gold sashes around their chests. 7Then one of the four living creatures gave the seven angels seven gold bowls. The bowls were full of the anger of God, who lives forever and ever. 8The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power. No one could go into the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.
