¹The LORD is King! Let the earth be happy.
Let the faraway shores be glad. ²Clouds and darkness are all around him.
His throne is built on what is right and fair. ³Fire goes ahead of him.
It burns up his enemies all around. ⁴His lightning lights up the world.
The earth sees it and shakes. ⁵The mountains melt like wax before the LORD,
before the Lord of all the earth. ⁶The heavens tell how righteous he is.
All the peoples see his glory. ⁷All who worship carved images are put to shame.
So are those who brag about idols.
Worship him, all you gods! ⁸Zion hears and is glad.
The towns of Judah celebrate
because of the way you judge, LORD. ⁹For you, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.
You are lifted high, far above all gods. ¹⁰You who love the LORD, hate evil!
He guards the lives of his faithful people.
He saves them from the power of the wicked. ¹¹Light shines on the righteous.
Joy shines on those whose hearts are good. ¹²Be glad in the LORD, you righteous ones.
Praise his holy name.
