1A psalm of David.
Praise the LORD, my soul.
All that is inside me, praise his holy name.
2Praise the LORD, my soul.
Don't forget all the kind things he does.
3He forgives all your sins.
He heals all your sicknesses.
4He redeems your life from the Pit.
He crowns you with faithful love and kindness.
5He fills your life with good things.
So you are made young again like the eagle.
6The LORD does what is right and fair
for all who are treated badly.
7He made his ways known to Moses.
He showed his mighty acts to the people of Israel.
8The LORD is kind and full of grace.
He is slow to get angry.
He is full of faithful love.
9He will not always blame us.
He will not stay angry forever.
10He has not treated us as our sins deserve.
He has not paid us back for our wrongs.
11The heavens are high above the earth.
That is how great his faithful love is
for those who fear him.
12The east is far from the west.
That is how far he has taken our sins away from us.
13A father is kind and tender to his children.
In the same way, the LORD is kind to those who fear him.
14For he knows how we are made.
He remembers that we are dust.
15A man's days are like grass.
He blooms like a flower in the field.
16When the wind blows over it, it is gone.
Its place doesn't remember it anymore.
17But the LORD's faithful love lasts forever and ever
for those who fear him.
His righteousness goes on to their grandchildren,
18to those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his commands.
19The LORD has set up his throne in heaven.
His kingdom rules over everything.
20Praise the LORD, all his angels.
You are mighty and strong.
You carry out his word.
You listen to the voice of his command.
21Praise the LORD, all his armies of heaven,
you servants who do what he wants.
22Praise the LORD, all his works,
in every place where he rules.
Praise the LORD, my soul!
