1"You are to make the tabernacle itself with ten curtains of finely spun linen. Each one is to have blue, purple, and scarlet yarn. Have a skilled worker weave cherubim into them. 2Each curtain is to be 42 feet long and 6 feet wide. All the curtains must be the same size.a 3Join five of the curtains together. Then join the other five together too. 4Make loops of blue cloth along the edge of the end curtain in the first set. Do the same for the end curtain in the second set. 5Make fifty loops on one curtain. Make fifty loops on the end curtain of the second set. The loops will line up across from each other. 6Make fifty gold clasps too. Join the curtains together with the clasps. Then the tabernacle will be one whole piece. 7You are to make curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle. Make eleven curtains in all. 8All eleven curtains are to be the same size. Each will be 45 feet long and 6 feet wide.b 9Join five of the curtains into one set. Join the other six into another set. Then fold the sixth curtain in half at the front of the tent. 10Make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in the first set. Make fifty loops along the edge of the matching curtain in the second set. 11Make fifty bronze clasps. Put them through the loops to join the tent together. Then it will be one whole piece. 12Part of the tent curtains will be extra. That extra half curtain is to hang down over the back of the tabernacle. 13The tent curtains will be 18 inches longer on each side. The extra part will hang over the sides of the tabernacle to cover it.c 14Also make a covering for the tent out of ram skins dyed red. Over that, put a covering of fine leather. 15You are to make standing frames of acacia wood for the tabernacle. 16Each frame is to be 15 feet tall and 27 inches wide.d 17Each frame must have two pegs joined to each other. Make all the frames of the tabernacle this way. 18Make twenty frames for the south side of the tabernacle. 19Put forty silver bases under the twenty frames. There will be two bases for each frame, one under each peg. 20For the other side of the tabernacle, the north side, make twenty frames 21and forty silver bases. Put two bases under each frame. 22Make six frames for the back of the tabernacle, the west side. 23Make two frames for the two back corners of the tabernacle. 24They are to be joined together from bottom to top and fitted into one ring. These two frames will make the two corners. 25So there will be eight frames and sixteen silver bases, two under each frame. 26You are also to make crossbars of acacia wood. Make five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle, 27five for the frames on the other side, and five for the frames on the back of the tabernacle, to the west. 28The middle crossbar is to run through the center of the frames. It will reach from one end to the other. 29Cover the frames with gold. Make gold rings to hold the crossbars. Cover the crossbars with gold too. 30So you are to set up the tabernacle just like the pattern I showed you on the mountain. 31Make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and finely spun linen. Have a skilled worker weave cherubim into it. 32Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood. Cover the posts with gold. Stand them on four silver bases. 33Hang the veil from the clasps. Put the ark of the Testimony behind the veil. The veil will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. 34Put the mercy seat on the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place. 35Put the table outside the veil on the north side of the tabernacle. Put the lampstand across from the table, on the south side. 36For the doorway of the tent, make a curtain. Embroider it with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and finely spun linen. 37Make five posts of acacia wood for the curtain and cover them with gold. Use gold hooks. Pour melted bronze into molds to make five bronze bases for them.
