1"You are to build an altar of acacia wood. The altar must be square. It is to be 7 1/2 feet long, 7 1/2 feet wide, and 4 1/2 feet high.a 2Make a horn on each of its four corners. The horns are to be one piece with the altar. Cover the altar with bronze. 3Make all its tools out of bronze. Make its pots for taking away the ashes, its shovels, its sprinkling bowls, its meat forks, and its fire pans. 4Make a grate of bronze net for it. Make a bronze ring at each of the four corners of the net. 5Put the grate under the ledge of the altar. The net will reach halfway up the altar. 6Also make poles of acacia wood for the altar. Cover them with bronze. 7Put the poles through the rings. The poles will be on two sides of the altar when it is carried. 8Build the altar out of boards so that it is hollow inside. Make it just as you were shown on the mountain. 9You are also to make a courtyard for the tabernacle. On the south side of the courtyard, make curtains of finely spun linen. That side is to be 150 feet long.b 10Make twenty posts and twenty bronze bases for it. Put silver hooks and bands on the posts. 11In the same way, put curtains on the north side, 150 feet long. Make twenty posts and twenty bronze bases for it. Put silver hooks and bands on the posts. 12The curtains on the west side of the courtyard are to be 75 feet wide. They will have ten posts and ten bases.c 13The east side of the courtyard, toward the sunrise, is to be 75 feet wide. 14Make the curtains on one side 22 1/2 feet long. Give them three posts and three bases.d 15Make the curtains on the other side 22 1/2 feet long too. Give them three posts and three bases. 16The gate of the courtyard is to be 30 feet long. It will have a curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and finely spun linen. It will have four posts and four bases.e 17All the posts around the courtyard are to have silver bands, silver hooks, and bronze bases. 18The whole courtyard is to be 150 feet long and 75 feet wide. It will have curtains of finely spun linen 7 1/2 feet high, with bronze bases.f 19All the tools of the tabernacle, for every use, are to be made of bronze. This includes all its tent pegs and the tent pegs of the courtyard. 20Command the Israelites to bring you pure oil from pressed olives for the light. It will keep the lamps burning all the time. 21Aaron and his sons are to take care of the lamps before the LORD from evening until morning. They will do this in the Tent of Meeting, outside the veil that is in front of the Testimony. This is a law for the Israelites that will last for all the generations to come.
