1Then the LORD said to Moses, 2"Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to accept my offering from every man whose heart moves him to give. 3This is the offering you are to accept from them: gold, silver, and bronze; 4blue, purple, and scarlet yarn; fine linen and goat hair; 5ram skins dyed red and fine leather; acacia wood; 6olive oil for the lamps; spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet-smelling incense; 7and onyx stones and other gems to be set on the ephod and the breastpiece. 8Have them make a holy place for me, so that I may live among them. 9You must make the tabernacle and all its furnishings just like the pattern I show you. 10Have them build an ark out of acacia wood. It is to be 45 inches long, 27 inches wide, and 27 inches high.a 11Cover it with pure gold, both inside and out. Make a gold trim all around it. 12Make four gold rings for it by pouring melted gold into molds. Attach them to its four feet. Put two rings on one side and two on the other. 13Make poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold. 14Put the poles through the rings on the sides of the ark. They are for carrying it. 15The poles are to stay in the rings of the ark. They must not be taken out. 16Then put the Testimony inside the ark. I will give it to you. 17You are to make a mercy seat of pure gold. It is to be 45 inches long and 27 inches wide.b 18Make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the two ends of the mercy seat. 19Put one cherub on one end and one on the other end. Make them all from one piece of gold with the mercy seat. 20The cherubim are to have wings spread upward. Their wings will cover the mercy seat. The cherubim are to face each other. They will look down toward the mercy seat. 21Set the mercy seat on top of the ark. Put the Testimony that I will give you inside the ark. 22I will meet with you there above the mercy seat. I will be between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony. There I will tell you all my commands for the Israelites. 23You are also to make a table of acacia wood. It is to be 3 feet long, 18 inches wide, and 27 inches high.c 24Cover it with pure gold and make a gold trim all around it. 25Make a rim around it about 3 inches wide. Put a gold trim on the rim.d 26Make four gold rings for the table. Attach them to the four corners by its four legs. 27The rings are to be close to the rim. They will hold the poles used to carry the table. 28Make the poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold, so that the table can be carried with them. 29You are also to make its plates and dishes. Make its pitchers and bowls for pouring out drink offerings too. Make them out of pure gold. 30Put the Bread of the Presence on the table in front of me at all times. 31Then you are to make a lampstand of pure, hammered gold. Make it all in one piece. This includes its base and its main stem, its cups, and its buds and petals. 32Six branches are to come out from the sides of the lampstand. Three will be on one side and three on the other. 33Put three cups shaped like almond flowers on the first branch, each with buds and petals. Put three on the next branch. Do the same for all six branches that come out from the lampstand. 34And on the main stem of the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers, with buds and petals. 35For the six branches that come out from the lampstand, put a bud under the first pair of branches. Put a bud under the second pair and a bud under the third pair. 36The buds and branches are to be one piece with the lampstand. They will be hammered out of pure gold. 37Make seven lamps and set them on the lampstand. They will light up the area in front of it. 38The wick trimmers and their trays must be made of pure gold. 39The lampstand and all these tools are to be made from about 75 pounds of pure gold.e 40Be sure that you make everything just like the pattern I showed you on the mountain.
