1He made a bronze altar 30 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 15 feet high.a 2He also made the Sea out of melted metal. It was round. It was 15 feet across from rim to rim and 7 1/2 feet high. It was 45 feet around.b 3Below the rim, shapes of oxen went all the way around it. There were ten for every 18 inches all around the Sea. They were cast in two rows as part of the Sea.c 4The Sea stood on twelve oxen. Three faced north, three faced west, three faced south, and three faced east. The Sea rested on top of them. Their back ends all pointed toward the center. 5It was about 3 inches thick. Its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, like a lily flower. It could hold three thousand baths.d 6He also made ten basins for washing. He put five on the south side and five on the north. The parts of the burnt offerings were rinsed in them. But the priests used the Sea for washing. 7He made ten gold lampstands as they were supposed to be made. He put them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. 8He also made ten tables and put them in the temple, five on the south side and five on the north. He also made a hundred gold bowls. 9He made the courtyard of the priests and the large courtyard with its doors. He covered the doors with bronze. 10He put the Sea on the south side, at the southeast corner. 11Huram also made the pots, shovels, and sprinkling bowls. So Huram finished the work he had taken on for King Solomon in the house of God. Here is what he made: 12There were the two pillars and the two bowl-shaped tops on the pillars. There were the two sets of netting that covered the two bowls on top of the pillars. 13There were the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of netting. There were two rows of pomegranates for each net that covered the bowl-shaped tops on the pillars. 14There were the stands and the basins on the stands. 15There was the Sea and the twelve oxen under it. 16And there were the pots, shovels, meat forks, and all the other items. Huram-abi made all these things for King Solomon for the LORD's house. They were made of polished bronze. 17The king had them cast in clay molds on the plain of the Jordan. This was between Succoth and Zeredah. 18Solomon made so many of these items that no one could find out the weight of the bronze. 19Solomon also made all the furnishings for God's house. He made the gold altar and the tables that held the Bread of the Presence. 20He made the lampstands of pure gold and their lamps. They were to burn in front of the inner room, as the law said. 21He made the gold flowers, lamps, and tongs. They were made of the purest gold. 22He made the wick trimmers, sprinkling bowls, ladles, and incense burners of pure gold. He made the gold doors of the temple. These were the inner doors to the Most Holy Place and the doors of the main hall.
