1The LORD is King. Let the nations tremble!
He sits on his throne above the cherubim.
Let the earth shake! 2The LORD is great in Zion.
He is lifted high above all the peoples. 3Let them praise your great and awesome name.
He is holy! 4The mighty King loves justice.
You have set up what is fair.
You have done what is just and right in Jacob. 5Lift high the LORD our God.
Worship at his footstool.
He is holy! 6Moses and Aaron were among his priests.
Samuel was among those who called on his name.
They called to the LORD, and he answered them. 7He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud.
They kept his laws and the rules he gave them. 8LORD our God, you answered them.
You were a God who forgave them.
But you also punished them for their wrong acts. 9Lift high the LORD our God.
Worship at his holy mountain,
for the LORD our God is holy.
