1For the choir leader. A song. A psalm.
Shout for joy to God, all the earth!
2Sing about the glory of his name.
Make his praise glorious.
3Say to God, "How amazing are the things you do!
Your power is so great
that your enemies bow down in fear before you.
4All the earth bows down to you.
They sing praise to you.
They sing praise to your name." Selah
5Come and see what God has done.
His deeds for people are amazing.
6He turned the sea into dry land.
They walked through the waters on foot.
There we were glad in him.
7He rules forever by his power.
His eyes watch the nations.
Do not let those who rebel lift themselves up. Selah
8Bless our God, you peoples.
Let the sound of his praise be heard.
9He keeps us alive.
He keeps our feet from slipping.
10God, you have tested us.
You have made us pure like silver in a fire.
11You led us into the net.
You put heavy loads on our backs.
12You let men ride over our heads.
We went through fire and water.
But you brought us to a place with plenty.
13I will come into your house with burnt offerings.
I will keep my promises to you.
14These are the promises my lips made.
My mouth spoke them when I was in trouble.
15I will offer you fat animals as burnt offerings.
I will offer the sweet-smelling smoke of rams.
I will offer bulls and goats. Selah
16Come and listen, all you who fear God.
I will tell you what he has done for me.
17I cried out to him with my mouth.
I praised him with my tongue.
18If I had held on to sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.
19But God has surely heard.
He has paid attention to the sound of my prayer.
20Bless God!
He has not turned away my prayer.
He has not kept his faithful love from me.
