¹For the music leader. With stringed instruments. Of David.
God, hear my cry.
Listen to my prayer. ²From the ends of the earth I call out to you
whenever my heart is weak.
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I am. ³For you have been my safe place.
You are a strong tower against the enemy. ⁴Let me live in your tent forever.
Let me find safety under the cover of your wings. Selah ⁵For you have heard my promises, God.
You have given me the share you keep
for those who fear your name. ⁶Add many days to the king's life.
May his years go on for many generations. ⁷May he sit on his throne before God forever.
Send your faithful love and truth to guard him. ⁸Then I will always sing praise to your name.
I will keep my promises day after day.
