1God, show that I am in the right.
Argue my case against a nation that does not love you.
Save me from lying and unfair people. 2For you are the God who keeps me safe.
Why have you turned me away?
Why must I walk around so sad?
Why must the enemy crush me? 3Send out your light and your truth.
Let them lead me.
Let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you live. 4Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God, my greatest joy.
I will praise you with the harp,
God, my God. 5Why are you so sad, my soul?
Why are you so upset inside me?
Put your hope in God.
I will still praise him, my Savior and my God.
