¹For the choir leader. A psalm of David.
May the LORD answer you when you are in trouble.
May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe. ²May he send you help from his holy place.
May he give you strength from Zion. ³May he remember all your gifts.
May he be pleased with your burnt offerings.
Selah ⁴May he give you what your heart wants.
May he make all your plans work out. ⁵May we shout for joy when you win.
May we raise a flag in the name of our God.
May the LORD give you all you ask for. ⁶Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed king.
He answers him from his holy heaven.
His right hand has power to save. ⁷Some trust in chariots, and some trust in horses.
But we trust in the name of the LORD our God. ⁸They fall down flat.
But we get up and stand strong. ⁹LORD, save the king!
