PsalmsChapter 146

1Hallelujah!
Praise the LORD, my soul. 2I will praise the LORD all my life.
I will sing praises to my God as long as I live. 3Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings who can't save. 4When their spirit leaves, they go back to the ground.
On that very day their plans die. 5Blessed is the one whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the LORD his God. 6He is the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them.
He stays faithful forever. 7He brings justice for those who are treated badly.
He gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets prisoners free. 8The LORD opens the eyes of the blind.
The LORD lifts up those who are bent low.
The LORD loves those who do right. 9The LORD protects foreigners.
He takes care of orphans and widows.
But he blocks the ways of the wicked. 10The LORD rules forever.
Zion, your God rules for all generations.
Hallelujah!
