¹Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His faithful love lasts forever. ²Let Israel say,
"His faithful love lasts forever." ³Let the family of Aaron say,
"His faithful love lasts forever." ⁴Let those who fear the LORD say,
"His faithful love lasts forever." ⁵When I was in trouble, I called to the LORD.
He answered me and set me free. ⁶The LORD is on my side. I will not be afraid.
What can a person do to me? ⁷The LORD is on my side. He is my helper.
So I will look in victory on those who hate me. ⁸It is better to run to the LORD for safety
than to trust in people. ⁹It is better to run to the LORD for safety
than to trust in princes. ¹⁰All the nations surrounded me.
But in the name of the LORD I cut them down. ¹¹They surrounded me on every side.
But in the name of the LORD I cut them down. ¹²They swarmed around me like bees.
But they burned out quickly like thorns in a fire.
In the name of the LORD I cut them down. ¹³I was pushed so hard that I was falling.
But the LORD helped me. ¹⁴The LORD is my strength and my song.
He has become my salvation. ¹⁵Shouts of joy and salvation ring out
in the tents of those who are right with God:
"The right hand of the LORD does mighty things! ¹⁶The right hand of the LORD is lifted high!
The right hand of the LORD does mighty things!" ¹⁷I will not die. I will live.
I will tell what the LORD has done. ¹⁸The LORD has corrected me hard.
But he has not handed me over to death. ¹⁹Open the gates of righteousness for me,
so that I may go in and give thanks to the LORD. ²⁰This is the gate of the LORD.
Those who are right with God will go in through it. ²¹I will thank you, for you have answered me.
You have become my salvation. ²²The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone. ²³This is from the LORD.
It is amazing to us. ²⁴This is the day that the LORD has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it. ²⁵O LORD, save us, we pray.
We beg you, O LORD, make us succeed! ²⁶Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.
From the house of the LORD we bless you. ²⁷The LORD is God.
He has made his light shine on us.
Tie the festival sacrifice with ropes
to the horns of the altar. ²⁸You are my God, and I will thank you.
You are my God, and I will lift you high. ²⁹Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His faithful love lasts forever.
