1Israel left Egypt.
The family of Jacob left a people who spoke a strange language. 2Then Judah became God's holy place.
Israel became the land he ruled. 3The sea saw it and ran away.
The Jordan River turned back. 4The mountains jumped like rams.
The hills jumped like lambs. 5Why did you run away, O sea?
Why did you turn back, O Jordan? 6Why did you jump like rams, O mountains?
Why did you jump like lambs, O hills? 7Tremble, O earth, before the Lord.
Tremble before the God of Jacob. 8He turned the rock into a pool.
He turned hard stone into a spring of water!
