PsalmsChapter 11

1For the choir leader. Of David.
I run to the LORD to be safe.
So how can you say to me,
"Fly away like a bird to your mountain! 2For look, the wicked bend their bows.
They put their arrows on the string.
They shoot from the shadows at people whose hearts are honest. 3If the foundations are destroyed,
what can the righteous do?" 4The LORD is in his holy temple.
The LORD is on his throne in heaven.
His eyes watch closely.
He looks carefully at all people. 5The LORD tests those who do right and those who are wicked.
He hates with all his soul the one who loves violence. 6He will rain down burning coals and sulfur on the wicked.
A burning wind will be what they get. 7For the LORD is righteous.
He loves justice.
Honest people will see his face.
