1A psalm of David.
I will sing about your faithful love and your justice.
LORD, I will sing praises to you. 2I will think carefully about the way that is without fault.
When will you come to me?
I will live in my house with an honest heart. 3I will not set anything worthless in front of my eyes.
I hate what is done by people who turn away from you.
It will not stick to me. 4I will keep a twisted heart far from me.
I will have nothing to do with evil. 5If someone secretly tells lies about his neighbor,
I will silence him.
If someone has proud eyes and a proud heart,
I will not put up with him. 6I will look with favor on the faithful people of the land,
so that they may live with me.
The one who lives an honest life will serve me. 7No one who tricks others will live in my house.
No one who tells lies will stand before me. 8Every morning I will get rid of all the wicked in the land.
I will cut off everyone who does evil
from the city of the LORD.
