1"If someone's offering is a peace offering, and he offers an animal from the herd, it may be a male or a female. But he must offer it before the LORD with no defects. 2He is to lay his hand on the head of the offering. He is to kill it at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron's sons the priests are to splash the blood on all sides of the altar. 3From the peace offering he is to bring a food offering to the LORD. He is to bring the fat that covers the inner parts and all the fat on them. 4He is to bring both kidneys with the fat on them near the lower back. He is to take out the long part of the liver with the kidneys. 5Then Aaron's sons are to burn it on the altar. They are to put it on top of the burnt offering on the burning wood. It is a food offering. Its smell pleases the LORD. 6But if someone's peace offering to the LORD is from the flock, he must offer a male or a female with no defects. 7If he is offering a lamb, he must offer it before the LORD. 8He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering. He is to kill it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron's sons are to splash its blood on all sides of the altar. 9From the peace offering he is to bring its fat as a food offering to the LORD. He is to bring the whole fat tail, cut off close to the backbone. He is to bring the fat that covers the inner parts and all the fat on them. 10He is to bring both kidneys with the fat on them near the lower back. He is to take out the long part of the liver with the kidneys. 11Then the priest is to burn them on the altar as food. It is a food offering to the LORD. 12If someone's offering is a goat, he is to offer it before the LORD. 13He must lay his hand on its head and kill it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron's sons are to splash its blood on all sides of the altar. 14From his offering he is to bring a food offering to the LORD. He is to bring the fat that covers the inner parts and all the fat on them. 15He is to bring both kidneys with the fat on them near the lower back. He is to take out the long part of the liver with the kidneys. 16Then the priest is to burn the food on the altar as a food offering. Its smell is pleasing. All the fat belongs to the LORD. 17This is a law that lasts forever, for all the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood."
