1Then the LORD said to Moses, 2"Speak to the Israelites and tell them this: 'These are my appointed feasts. They are the feasts of the LORD. You must announce them as holy gatherings. 3You may work for six days. But the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest. It is a day for a holy gathering. You must not do any work. Wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD. 4These are the LORD's appointed feasts. They are the holy gatherings you must announce at their set times. 5The LORD's Passover begins at sundown on the fourteenth day of the first month. 6On the fifteenth day of that month, the LORD's Feast of Unleavened Bread begins. For seven days you must eat bread made without yeast. 7On the first day you must hold a holy gathering. You must not do your regular work. 8For seven days you must bring a food offering to the LORD. On the seventh day there will be a holy gathering. You must not do your regular work.'" 9The LORD said to Moses, 10"Speak to the Israelites and tell them this: 'You will go into the land I am giving you. You will gather its harvest. Then you must bring the priest a bundle of grain. It is the firstfruits of your harvest. 11He must wave the bundle before the LORD so that it will be accepted for you. The priest must wave it on the day after the Sabbath. 12On the day you wave the bundle, you must offer a lamb a year old with no flaw. It is a burnt offering to the LORD. 13With it, you must bring its grain offering. It is about 4 quarts of fine flour mixed with oil. It is a food offering to the LORD, a smell that pleases him. You must also bring its drink offering of about 1 quart of wine.a 14You must not eat any bread, roasted grain, or new grain until the very day you bring this offering to your God. This is a law that will last forever for all the generations to come, wherever you live. 15You must count off seven full weeks. Start from the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the bundle of grain for the wave offering. 16Count off fifty days, until the day after the seventh Sabbath. Then bring an offering of new grain to the LORD. 17Bring two loaves of bread from your homes as a wave offering. Make each one from about 4 quarts of fine flour. Bake them with yeast. They are the firstfruits to the LORD.b 18With the bread, you must offer seven male lambs a year old with no flaw. You must also offer one young bull and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the LORD. Bring them with their grain offerings and drink offerings. It is a food offering, a smell that pleases the LORD. 19You must also offer one male goat as a sin offering. And offer two male lambs a year old as a peace offering. 20The priest must wave the lambs before the LORD as a wave offering. He must wave them with the bread of the firstfruits. The bread and the two lambs will be holy to the LORD. They are for the priest. 21On that same day you must announce a holy gathering. You must not do your regular work. This is a law that will last forever for the generations to come, wherever you live. 22When you gather the harvest of your land, do not harvest all the way to the edges of your field. Do not pick up the grain that is left behind. Leave it for the poor and for the foreigner. I am the LORD your God.'" 23The LORD also said to Moses, 24"Speak to the Israelites and tell them this: 'On the first day of the seventh month, you must have a day of rest. It is a holy gathering, announced by the blowing of trumpets. 25You must not do your regular work. But you must bring a food offering to the LORD.'" 26Again the LORD said to Moses, 27"The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. You must hold a holy gathering and humble yourselves. You must bring a food offering to the LORD. 28Do not do any work on this day. For it is the Day of Atonement. On this day atonement is made for you before the LORD your God. 29Anyone who does not humble himself on this day must be cut off from his people. 30Anyone who does any work on this day, I will destroy from among his people. 31You must not do any work at all. This is a law that will last forever for the generations to come, wherever you live. 32It will be a Sabbath of complete rest for you. You must humble yourselves. Keep your Sabbath from the evening of the ninth day of the month until the next evening." 33The LORD said to Moses, 34"Speak to the Israelites and tell them this: 'The LORD's Feast of Tabernacles begins on the fifteenth day of the seventh month. It lasts for seven days. 35On the first day there will be a holy gathering. You must not do your regular work. 36For seven days you must bring a food offering to the LORD. On the eighth day you must hold a holy gathering and bring a food offering to the LORD. It is a special gathering. You must not do your regular work. 37These are the LORD's appointed feasts. You must announce them as holy gatherings. At these times you bring food offerings to the LORD. You bring burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings. Each one is brought on its own set day. 38These offerings are added to the offerings for the LORD's Sabbaths. They are also added to your gifts, to all the offerings you promised, and to all the offerings you freely give to the LORD. 39On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, you will have gathered the crops of the land. Then you must hold a feast to the LORD for seven days. The first day will be a day of complete rest. The eighth day will also be a day of complete rest. 40On the first day you must gather fruit from fine trees. Gather branches of palm trees, and branches of leafy trees and of willows by the stream. Then celebrate with joy before the LORD your God for seven days. 41You must celebrate this as a feast to the LORD for seven days each year. This is a law that will last forever for the generations to come. You must celebrate it in the seventh month. 42You must live in shelters for seven days. Everyone born in Israel must live in shelters. 43Then your descendants will know that I made the Israelites live in shelters. I did this when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.'" 44So Moses told the Israelites about the appointed feasts of the LORD.
