1The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 2"Tell the Israelites this: 'A man may have a fluid flowing from his body. That flow is unclean. 3His uncleanness comes from this flow. It does not matter if his body lets it flow out or holds it in. Either way, his flow makes him unclean. 4Any bed that the man with the flow lies on will be unclean. Anything he sits on will be unclean. 5Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 6Someone may sit on something that the man with the flow sat on. He must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 7Anyone who touches the body of the man with the flow must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 8The man with the flow may spit on someone who is clean. That person must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 9Any saddle that the man with the flow rides on will be unclean. 10Anyone who touches anything that was under him will be unclean until evening. Anyone who carries those things must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 11The man with the flow may touch someone without first rinsing his hands in water. Then the person he touched must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 12Any clay pot that the man with the flow touches must be broken. Any wooden dish or tool must be rinsed with water. 13The man may become clean from his flow. Then he must count off seven days for his cleansing. He must wash his clothes and bathe in fresh water. Then he will be clean. 14On the eighth day he must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons. He must come before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and give them to the priest. 15The priest must offer them. One is a sin offering, and the other is a burnt offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for the man before the LORD because of his flow. 16A man may have semen come out of his body. Then he must bathe his whole body in water. He will be unclean until evening. 17Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water. It will stay unclean until evening. 18A man may lie with a woman, and semen comes out. Then both of them must bathe in water. They will stay unclean until evening. 19A woman may have a flow of blood from her body during her monthly period. She will be unclean for seven days. Anyone who touches her will be unclean until evening. 20Anything she lies on or sits on during her period will be unclean. 21Anyone who touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 22Anyone who touches anything she sat on must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 23It may be a bed, or it may be something she was sitting on. Anyone who touches it will be unclean until evening. 24If a man lies with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days. Any bed he lies on will become unclean. 25A woman may have a flow of blood for many days when it is not her monthly period. Or it may keep going after her period ends. She will be unclean for all the days of her unclean flow. It is the same as during the days of her period. 26During the days of her flow, any bed she lies on will be unclean. Anything she sits on will be unclean. It is the same as her bed during her monthly period. 27Anyone who touches these things will be unclean. He must wash his clothes and bathe in water. He will be unclean until evening. 28The woman may become clean from her flow. Then she must count off seven days. After that she will be clean for worship. 29On the eighth day she must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons. She must bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. 30The priest must offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her before the LORD because of her unclean flow. 31You must keep the people of Israel separate from what makes them unclean. Then they will not die for making my tabernacle impure. My tabernacle is among them. 32This is the law for a man who has a flow. It is the law for a man who becomes unclean because semen comes out of him. 33It is the law for a woman during her monthly period. It is the law for any man or woman who has a flow. It is the law for a man who lies with a woman who is unclean.'"
