1"So Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skilled worker are to do all that the LORD has commanded. The LORD has given them skill and know-how. They know how to do all the work of building the holy place." 2Then Moses called for Bezalel and Oholiab. He called every skilled person the LORD had gifted. He called all whose hearts moved them to come and do the work. 3They took from Moses all the gifts the Israelites had brought. These gifts were for the work of building the holy place. But the people kept bringing gifts of their own free will, morning after morning. 4So all the skilled workers doing the work on the holy place stopped what they were doing. 5They said to Moses, "The people are bringing more than enough! It's more than we need for the work the LORD told us to do." 6So Moses gave an order. They sent word all through the camp: "No man or woman should make anything more as a gift for the holy place." So the people were held back from bringing more. 7That was because what they had was already more than enough to do all the work. 8All the skilled workers made the ten curtains for the tabernacle. They were made of fine twisted linen and blue, purple, and red yarn. Cherubim were skillfully woven into them. 9Each curtain was 42 feet long and 6 feet wide. All the curtains were the same size.a 10He joined five of the curtains together. He joined the other five together too. 11He made loops of blue cloth on the edge of the end curtain in the first set. He did the same on the end curtain in the second set. 12He made 50 loops on one curtain. He made 50 loops on the end curtain of the second set. The loops lined up across from each other. 13He also made 50 gold clasps to join the curtains together. So the tabernacle was all one piece. 14Then he made curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle. There were eleven curtains in all. 15All eleven curtains were the same size. Each was 45 feet long and 6 feet wide.b 16He joined five of the curtains into one set. He joined the other six into another set. 17He made 50 loops along the edge of the end curtain in the first set. He made 50 loops along the edge of the matching curtain in the second set. 18He also made 50 bronze clasps to join the tent together. So it was all one piece. 19He also made a cover for the tent out of ram skins dyed red. Over that he made a cover of fine leather. 20Next, he made frames of acacia wood to stand up straight for the tabernacle. 21Each frame was 15 feet long and 27 inches wide.c 22Each frame had two pegs joined to each other. He made all the frames of the tabernacle this way.d 23He made 20 frames for the south side of the tabernacle. 24He made 40 silver bases to go under the 20 frames. There were two bases for each frame, one under each peg. 25For the other side of the tabernacle, the north side, he made 20 frames. 26He also made 40 silver bases for them, two bases under each frame. 27He made six frames for the back of the tabernacle, the west side. 28He made two frames for the two back corners of the tabernacle. 29They were joined together from bottom to top and fit into one ring. He made both corners this way. 30So there were eight frames and 16 silver bases, two under each frame. 31He also made five crossbars of acacia wood for the frames on one side of the tabernacle. 32He made five for the frames on the other side. He made five for the frames on the back side of the tabernacle, to the west. 33He made the middle crossbar to run through the center of the frames. It ran from one end to the other. 34He covered the frames with gold. He made gold rings to hold the crossbars. He also covered the crossbars with gold. 35Next, he made the veil out of blue, purple, and red yarn and fine twisted linen. Cherubim were skillfully woven into it. 36He also made four posts of acacia wood for it. He covered them with gold and gave them gold hooks. He cast four silver bases for the posts. 37For the doorway of the tent, he made a curtain. It was stitched with blue, purple, and red yarn and fine twisted linen. 38He also made five posts for it, with their hooks. He covered the tops of the posts and their bands with gold. Their five bases were made of bronze.
