1I want to tell you good things about our sister Phoebe. She is a servant of the church in Cenchrea. 2Welcome her in the Lord in a way that is right for God's people. Help her with anything she needs from you. She has been a great help to many people, and to me too. 3Greet Prisca and Aquila. They work with me in Christ Jesus. 4They put their lives at risk for me. I am thankful for them. And so are all the Gentile churches. 5Also greet the church that meets in their house. Greet my dear friend Epenetus. He was the first person in the province of Asia to believe in Christ. 6Greet Mary, who has worked very hard for you. 7Greet Andronicus and Junia. They are Jews like me, and they were in prison with me. They are well known among the apostles. They were in Christ before I was. 8Greet Ampliatus, my dear friend in the Lord. 9Greet Urbanus, who works with us in Christ. And greet my dear friend Stachys. 10Greet Apelles, who has been tested and proven in Christ. Greet those who belong to the household of Aristobulus. 11Greet Herodion, who is a Jew like me. Greet those in the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord. 12Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa. These women have worked hard in the Lord. Greet my dear friend Persis. She has worked very hard in the Lord. 13Greet Rufus, who is chosen in the Lord. And greet his mother, who has been a mother to me too. 14Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, and Hermas. Greet the brothers and sisters who are with them. 15Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas. Greet all of God's people who are with them. 16Greet each other with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send you greetings. 17Brothers and sisters, I urge you to watch out for people who cause splits and put things in your way. They go against the teaching you have learned. Stay away from them. 18People like this are not serving our Lord Christ. They are serving their own stomachs. With smooth talk and praise that is not true, they fool people who don't know better. 19Everyone has heard about how you obey. So I am full of joy over you. But I want you to be wise about what is good. And I want you to stay innocent about what is evil. 20The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. 21Timothy, who works with me, sends you greetings. So do Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, who are Jews like me. 22I, Tertius, wrote down this letter. I greet you in the Lord. 23Gaius sends you greetings. I am staying at his home, and the whole church meets there. Erastus, the city treasurer, sends you greetings. So does our brother Quartus. 24—a 25Now to God, who is able to make you strong by my good news and by the preaching about Jesus Christ. This agrees with the mystery God has shown. It was hidden for long ages in the past. 26But now it has been shown and made known through the writings of the prophets. This happened by the command of the God who lives forever. He did it to lead all nations to obey him because they believe. 27To the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.
