1A psalm. A song for the Sabbath day.
It is good to praise the LORD.
It is good to sing praises to your name, Most High.
2It is good to tell of your faithful love in the morning
and your faithfulness at night,
3with the music of the ten-stringed harp
and the tune of the lyre.
4LORD, you have made me glad by what you have done.
I sing for joy at the works of your hands.
5LORD, how great are your works!
How deep are your thoughts!
6A foolish man does not know this.
A fool does not understand
7that the wicked may spring up like grass,
and all who do evil may do well,
but they will be destroyed forever.
8But you, LORD, are lifted high forever! 9For surely your enemies, LORD,
surely your enemies will perish.
All who do evil will be scattered.
10But you have made me strong like a wild ox.
You have poured fine oil on me.a
11My eyes see my enemies fall.
My ears hear my evil enemies cry out.
12The righteous will grow strong like a palm tree.
They will grow tall like a cedar in Lebanon.
13They are planted in the house of the LORD.
They will grow strong in the courtyards of our God.
14When they are old, they will still bear fruit.
They will stay healthy and green.
15They will say, "The LORD is good and fair.
He is my Rock.
There is nothing wrong in him at all."
