1Of David.
LORD, show that I am in the right!
For I have lived an honest life.
I have trusted in the LORD without doubting.
2Test me, LORD, and try me.
Look closely at my heart and mind.
3For I keep your faithful love in front of my eyes.
I have lived by your truth.
4I do not sit with liars.
I do not spend time with fakes.
5I hate the crowd of people who do evil.
I will not sit with the wicked.
6I wash my hands to show I have done no wrong.
Then I can walk around your altar, LORD.
7I lift my voice to give thanks.
I tell about all the wonderful things you have done.
8LORD, I love the house where you live,
the place where your glory stays.
9Do not take my soul away with sinners.
Do not take my life along with murderers.
10Their hands are full of evil plans.
Their right hands are full of bribes.
11But I will live an honest life.
Redeem me and be kind to me.
12My feet stand on level ground.
When God's people gather, I will praise the LORD.
