1A psalm of David.
The earth belongs to the LORD, and everything in it.
The world and all who live in it are his.
2For he built it on the seas.
He set it firmly on the waters.
3Who may go up the hill of the LORD?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4The one who has clean hands and a pure heart.
He does not give his soul to an idol.
He does not make promises he means to break.
5He will receive a blessing from the LORD.
The God who saves him will show that he is in the right.
6These are the kind of people who look for him.
They seek your face, O God of Jacob.

7Lift up your heads, you gates!
Be lifted up, you ancient doors,
so the King of Glory may come in!
8Who is this King of Glory?
The LORD, strong and mighty.
The LORD, mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, you gates!
Be lifted up, you ancient doors,
so the King of Glory may come in!
10Who is he, this King of Glory?
The LORD of Hosts.
He is the King of Glory.
