1Of David.
I give you thanks with all my heart.
In front of the gods I sing your praises. 2I bow down toward your holy temple.
I thank your name for your faithful love and your faithfulness.
You have made your name and your word
greater than everything else. 3On the day I called, you answered me.
You made me bold and gave my soul strength. 4All the kings of the earth will thank you, LORD,
when they hear the words you have spoken. 5They will sing about the ways of the LORD,
for the glory of the LORD is great. 6The LORD is high above,
yet he takes care of the humble.
But he knows the proud from far away. 7If I walk through the middle of trouble,
you keep me safe from my enemies' anger.
You reach out your hand,
and your right hand saves me. 8The LORD will carry out his plan for me.
LORD, your faithful love lasts forever.
Do not leave behind the work of your hands.
