1A song. A psalm of David.
My heart is steady, O God.
I will sing and make music with all that I am. 2Wake up, harp and lyre!
I will wake up the dawn. 3I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations.
I will sing your praises among the peoples. 4For your faithful love reaches higher than the heavens.
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. 5Be lifted high, O God, above the heavens.
May your glory cover all the earth. 6Answer us and save us with your right hand,
so the people you love may be rescued. 7God has spoken from his holy place:
"I will win! I will divide up Shechem.
I will measure out the Valley of Succoth. 8Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine.
Ephraim is my helmet.
Judah is my royal scepter. 9Moab is my washbowl.
I toss my sandal on Edom.
I shout in victory over Philistia." 10Who will bring me to the strong, walled city?
Who will lead me to Edom? 11O God, haven't you rejected us?
O God, won't you march out with our armies anymore? 12Give us help against the enemy,
for human help is worth nothing. 13With God we will fight bravely.
And he will stomp on our enemies.
