PsalmsChapter 1

1Blessed is the man who does not walk by the advice of the wicked.
He does not stand on the path of sinners.
He does not sit in the seat of those who mock. 2Instead, he delights in the Law of the LORD.
He thinks about his law day and night. 3He is like a tree planted by streams of water.
It gives its fruit at the right time.
Its leaf does not dry up.
He does well in all he does. 4The wicked are not like that!
They are like chaff that the wind blows away. 5So the wicked will not stand when God judges.
Sinners will not stand in the gathering of those who are right with God. 6For the LORD guards the path of those who are right with him.
But the way of the wicked will perish.
