¹Then Bildad the Shuhite answered: ²"Rule and fear-filled wonder belong to God.
He makes peace in the heights of heaven. ³Can anyone count his armies?
On whom does his light not rise? ⁴So how can a man be right before God?
How can someone born from a woman be pure? ⁵If even the moon isn't bright to him,
and the stars aren't pure in his eyes, ⁶how much less man, who is only a maggot!
How much less a son of man, who is only a worm!"
