GalatiansChapter 6

1Brothers and sisters, suppose someone is caught in a sin. You who live by the Spirit should gently help that person back. But watch yourself, or you may be tempted too. 2Help carry each other's heavy loads. When you do this, you obey the law of Christ. 3If anyone thinks he is important when he is nothing, he fools himself. 4Each person should check his own work. Then he can be proud of himself alone, and not of someone else. 5Each person should carry his own load. 6But those who are taught God's word must share all good things with their teacher. 7Do not be fooled. No one can make fun of God. A person will harvest whatever he plants. 8Some people plant to please their sinful nature. From that sinful nature they will harvest ruin. Others plant to please the Spirit. From the Spirit they will harvest eternal life. 9Let us not get tired of doing good. At the right time we will gather a harvest if we do not give up. 10So whenever we have the chance, let us do good to everyone. Let us do good most of all to the family of believers. 11Look at the large letters I am using as I write to you with my own hand! 12Some people want to look good on the outside. They are trying to force you to be circumcised. They do it only so they won't be attacked because of the cross of Christ. 13Even those who are circumcised do not keep the law themselves. But they want you to be circumcised. Then they can brag about what was done to your body. 14But as for me, may I never brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through that cross, the world has been crucified to me, and I have been crucified to the world. 15Being circumcised or not being circumcised means nothing. What matters is being a new creation. 16May peace and mercy be on all who follow this rule, even on the Israel of God. 17From now on, let no one give me trouble. I carry the marks of Jesus on my body. 18Brothers and sisters, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
