1"This is what the Lord GOD says: 'The gate of the inner court that faces east must stay shut on the six work days. But it must be opened on the Sabbath day and on the day of the New Moon. 2The prince must come in from outside through the porch of the gateway. He must stand by the gatepost while the priests sacrifice his burnt offerings and peace offerings. He must bow down and worship at the doorway of the gate. Then he must leave. But the gate must not be shut until evening. 3On the Sabbaths and New Moons, the people of the land must also bow down and worship before the LORD. They must do it at the entrance to that gateway. 4On the Sabbath day the prince must bring a burnt offering to the LORD. It must be six male lambs and a ram, all with no defects. 5The grain offering with the ram must be an ephah. The grain offering with the lambs may be as much as he is able to give. He must give a hin of oil with each ephah. 6On the day of the New Moon he must offer a young bull, six lambs, and a ram. They must all have no defects. 7He must supply a grain offering of an ephah with the bull and an ephah with the ram. With the lambs he may give as much as he is able. He must give a hin of oil with each ephah. 8When the prince comes in, he must go in through the porch of the gateway. He must go out the same way. 9The people of the land will come before the LORD at the appointed feasts. Whoever comes in by the north gate to worship must go out by the south gate. Whoever comes in by the south gate must go out by the north gate. No one may go back out through the gate he came in by. Each person must go out by the gate across from it. 10When the people go in, the prince must go in with them. When they go out, he must go out. 11At the festivals and appointed feasts, the grain offering must be an ephah with a bull and an ephah with a ram. With the lambs, it may be as much as a person is able to give. A hin of oil must be given with each ephah. 12The prince may choose to give a freewill offering to the LORD. It may be a burnt offering or a peace offering. Then the gate facing east must be opened for him. He must offer his burnt offering or peace offering just as he does on the Sabbath day. Then he must go out. After he goes out, the gate must be shut. 13Every day you must supply a lamb one year old with no defects. It is a burnt offering to the LORD. You must offer it every morning. 14Every morning you must also give a grain offering with it. It must be one sixth of an ephah of fine flour, with one third of a hin of oil to wet the flour. It is a grain offering to the LORD. This is a rule that will last forever. 15So they must supply the lamb, the grain offering, and the oil every morning. It will be a regular burnt offering.' 16This is what the Lord GOD says: 'If the prince gives a gift to one of his sons as an inheritance, it will belong to his descendants. It will be their property to pass down. 17But if he gives a gift from his inheritance to one of his servants, it will belong to that servant only until the year of freedom. After that it will go back to the prince. His inheritance belongs only to his sons. It will be theirs. 18The prince must not take any of the people's inheritance by forcing them off their property. He must give his sons their inheritance from his own property. Then none of my people will be forced off their land.'" 19Then the man brought me through the entrance at the side of the gate. He took me into the holy rooms facing north, which belonged to the priests. He showed me a place there, at the far west end. 20He said to me, "This is the place where the priests will boil the guilt offering and the sin offering. It is where they will bake the grain offering. That way they will not carry these things out into the outer court and pass holiness to the people." 21Then he brought me into the outer court. He led me around to its four corners. In each corner I saw a separate court. 22In the four corners of the outer court there were closed-in courts. Each was 70 feet long and about 52 feet wide. All four corner areas were the same size.a 23Around the inside of each of the four courts was a row of stonework. Ovens were built at the bottom of the walls on all sides. 24He said to me, "These are the kitchens. The people who serve at the temple will cook the people's sacrifices here."
