1From the blue, purple, and red yarn they made woven clothes for serving in the holy place. They also made the holy clothes for Aaron, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 2Bezalel made the ephod out of fine twisted linen. It was stitched with gold and with blue, purple, and red yarn. 3They hammered gold into thin sheets. They cut threads from the sheets. They wove the threads in with the blue, purple, and red yarn and the fine linen. It was the work of a skilled worker. 4They made shoulder pieces for the ephod. These were joined at two of its corners so it could be fastened. 5The skillfully woven belt of the ephod was one piece with the ephod. It was made the same way. It had gold, blue, purple, and red yarn, and fine twisted linen. It was just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 6They set the onyx stones in gold settings made of fine wire. The names of the sons of Israel were carved on them, the way a seal is carved. 7Then they fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod. They were stones to remember the sons of Israel. It was just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 8He made the chest piece. It was made the same way as the ephod. It had gold, blue, purple, and red yarn, and fine twisted linen. 9When it was folded in half, it was square. It was 9 inches long and 9 inches wide.a 10They set four rows of gems on it. The first row had a ruby, a topaz, and an emerald. 11The second row had a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond. 12The third row had a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst. 13The fourth row had a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. These stones were set in gold settings made of fine wire. 14There were twelve stones, one for each name of the sons of Israel. Each stone was carved like a seal. Each had the name of one of the twelve tribes. 15For the chest piece they made chains of pure gold, braided like cords. 16They also made two gold settings of fine wire and two gold rings. They fastened the two rings to the two corners of the chest piece. 17Then they fastened the two gold chains to the two gold rings at the corners of the chest piece. 18They fastened the other ends of the two chains to the two settings. They joined these to the shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod. 19They made two more gold rings. They joined them to the other two corners of the chest piece. These went on the inside edge, next to the ephod. 20They made two more gold rings. They joined them to the bottom of the two shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod. These were near the seam, just above its woven belt. 21Then they tied the rings of the chest piece to the rings of the ephod with a blue cord. That way the chest piece stayed above the belt of the ephod. It would not swing loose from the ephod. It was just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 22They made the robe of the ephod all out of blue cloth. It was the work of a weaver. 23It had an opening for the head in the center of the robe, like the opening of a garment. There was a collar around the opening so it would not tear. 24On the bottom hem of the robe they made pomegranates. They made them of blue, purple, and red yarn and fine twisted linen. 25They also made bells of pure gold. They put them all around the hem between the pomegranates. 26A bell and a pomegranate took turns all around the bottom hem of the robe. The robe was to be worn while serving. It was just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 27For Aaron and his sons they made tunics of fine linen. It was the work of a weaver. 28They also made the turban of fine linen. They made the fancy head caps and the underclothes out of fine twisted linen. 29They made the sash of fine twisted linen. It was stitched with blue, purple, and red yarn. It was just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 30They also made the plate of the holy crown out of pure gold. They carved words on it, like words carved on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD. 31Then they tied a blue cord to it to fasten it to the turban. It was just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 32So all the work on the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, was done. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 33Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses. They brought the tent and all its things. They brought its clasps, its frames, its crossbars, and its posts and bases. 34They brought the cover of ram skins dyed red and the cover of fine leather. They brought the veil that served as a screen. 35They brought the ark of the Testimony with its poles and the mercy seat. 36They brought the table with all its things and the Bread of the Presence. 37They brought the pure gold lampstand with its row of lamps and all its tools. They also brought the oil for the light. 38They brought the gold altar, the anointing oil, and the sweet-smelling incense. They brought the curtain for the doorway of the tent. 39They brought the bronze altar with its bronze grate, its poles, and all its tools. They brought the basin with its stand. 40They brought the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases. They brought the curtain for the gate of the courtyard, with its ropes and tent pegs. They brought all the tools for the work of the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting. 41They brought the woven clothes for serving in the holy place. These were the holy clothes for Aaron the priest and the clothes for his sons to wear when they served as priests. 42The Israelites had done all the work just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 43Moses looked over all the work. He saw that they had done it just as the LORD had commanded. So Moses blessed them.
